General Job Function:      

Responsible for providing instruction support for Teachers and Title I students in the classroom, including working with groups of students and one-on-one to reinforce lessons/curriculum; organizing and maintaining Title I student data; ordering and maintaining instructional and clerical materials and supplies; assisting with reports and newsletters; participating in Title I evening functions; assisting with student testing, selection, and registration; and inventorying Title I equipment and supplies.

Resources Used in Performing Job Include (but are not limited to):  

Standard office equipment and vehicle for district travel. A district car may be used or if the employee uses his/her own vehicle mileage reimbursement is available.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements: 

Regularly required to walk, talk and listen.   Frequently is required to stand and sit. Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. Light lifting at times.

 

Environmental Conditions:  

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Assist identified Title I student groups working in classroom on current assignments, including reinforcing lessons/curriculum.
  • Work one-on-one with selected Title I students, including reinforcing lessons/curriculum.
  • Assist classroom teachers with identified Title I students.
  • Organize and maintain Title I student data.
  • Order and maintain instructional and clerical materials and supplies for Title I team.
  • Compute reports, contribute to newsletters, etc. as requested by Title I staff.
  • Participate in Title I evening functions for parent involvement.
  • Assist with student testing, selection, and registration for parent notification per Title I.
  • Collate and compute information from all Title I building site sources for end-of-year CDE-113 report.
  • Inventory Title I equipment and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  6. Protects the District’s resources through appropriate and careful use of supplies and equipment.
  7. Utilizes appropriate body mechanics to aid in the prevention of muscle strain/injury.

 

EMPLOYMENT: Upon an offer of employment, pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1968, pass a background check and provide necessary documentation qualifications.
